58” x 46” Mixed Media and Oil on Canvas 2026
“I was spontaneously moved to make a trip with my oldest child to Berlin to see a Radiohead concert recently.
Though Berlin is widely considered one of the world's leading centers for digital and new media art, it has a thriving "analog" subculture, driven by a desire for intentional, tangible, and slow-paced experiences in a digital world. There is a massive resurgence there in analog film photography, the cool vintage Photoautomat booths, and a vibrant vinyl music scene. There was a clear sense of analog as a disruptor.
Though cities at night are one of my most recurring themes, I wanted to find some uniquely ‘Berlin’ markers of the juxtaposition with these two works.”
