M. Eileen Murray - Biography

M. Eileen Murray is a visual artist whose work is materiality based and exploits the physical characteristics of painted surfaces and ceramics to serve as metaphors for bravado, material excess and accumulation.

Murray holds an M.F.A. from the University of Saskatchewan and a B.F.A., Great Distinction, from the University of Lethbridge. She lives and maintains a full time studio practice in Vulcan, Alberta. Murray’s paintings are held in several corporate collections and she has participated in solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada, Malaysia and Mexico.
